PULITZER PRIZE BOOK POSTER
For this book poster design, I wanted to communicate the story’s theme in an interesting way, as well as consider layout, and typographical hierarchy. As required by the assignment we could only use typography and shapes to communicate a what the Pulitzer Prize winning book was about. Independence Day is a book about a father and a son who are going on a road trip in an effort to repair a difficult relationship. I chose to use a maze to communicate this journey, which is a symbol for a passage through choices, reflections, and regrets. The two red dots symbolize the father and the son. Ultimately coming together with repaired relationship in the middle where the title is.
